Two Radio Shows on June 2

I have two new broadcasts of previously recorded shows slated for Saturday, June 2.

"From the Roots" on WMMT-FM 88.7, Whitesburg, KY, and www.wmmtfm.org airs from 11 AM until 2 PM eastern. Along with a focus on pre-WWII blues, the Lazy Farm Boy will offer his usual serving of the latest in old-time and roots music. Hot platters include releases from the Wandering (featuring Luther Dickinson and Amy Lavere),  Harpeth Rising, Stray Birds, Emily Pinkerton, Rafe & Clelia Stefanini, and Mike + Ruthie. The July 7 "From the Roots" with the Lazy Farm Boy will be the annual western swing show for the first two hours.

My guests on The ArtSpot for June 2 on Chapel Hill's WCHL-AM 1360 and http://www.chapelboro.com/pages/9680071.php are Tess Mangum OcaƱa (Concerts and Facility Director) And Julie Tomkovick (Development Director) at the Arts Center in Carrboro. Tess describes the fabulous series of concerts coming to The ArtsCenter during June and early July, including Johnny Winter and Hot Tuna (Jorma Kaukonen will be on the June 23 ArtSpot). Julie provides the details on the upcoming evening to benefit The ArtsCenter at Southern Season in Chapel Hill's University Mall. The special event from 7 until 9 PM on June 12 offers wine and food tastings, a celebrity chef or two, music, prizes, and a private shopping experience.
