Let Them Be Heard Director on WCHL-FM ArtSpot for March 9

On the WCHL-FM 97.9 ArtSpot for March 9, Art Menius welcomes Todd Buker, director of Bare Theatre's production of "Let Them Be Heard," whose script and characters come directly from the 176 Slave Narratives collected by the WPA in North Carolina during the 1930s.  The play is slavery, Civil War, and Reconstruction as recalled by those who lived through them. "Let Them Be Heard" brings American history to life on the stage of The ArtsCenter in Carrboro at 8PM on Saturday March 8 and March 15 and Friday March 14 and 3PM on Sunday, March 9 and March 16. Due to UNC baseball and basketball, The ArtSpot on WCHL-FM 97.9 will air for certain only on Sunday at 4:00 PM. If the UNC Women beat Duke Saturday, ArtSpot will also air Sunday at 7:30 PM.
